Kimio Wakoh Selected as Team Member of
Antarctic Exploration Mission
This
year marks the 50 years since Japan started in the Antarctic exploration. On
June 16, Headquarters for Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition, Ministry of
Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology announced 53 members of the
48th Antarctic Exploration Mission and the execution plans.
Kimio
Wakoh, the Institute for
Materials Research of Tohoku University, was selected as a member of this
project and will depart for the Antarctic mission on November 28, 2006.
